The Geschmann hardness tester for vulcanized or thermoplastic rubber is used to determine the relative hardness of vulcanized or thermoplastic rubber. The tester records the twist angle of the test piece after twisting it 180 degrees for 10 seconds. This step is performed from 23 degrees Celsius up to the minimum test temperature, allowing the temperatures (T2, T5, T10, and T100) with modulus values of 2, 5, 10, and 100 to be determined from the temperature-angle graph.
